Yosemite
These pictures are from our trip to Yosemite with Ken & Katie.
Glacier Point is centrally located so you get some great views. This
is Vernal and Nevada falls. We've hiked up Vernal fall several times now.
The view of Half Dome from Glacier Point. 50mm lens.
The rock overhang at Glacier Point.
A stand of trees near the West entrance that were burned. A circular
polarizing filter was used to darken the sky. 50mm lens.
Seattle
Peter, Anne-Lise, and I drove up to Seattle to see Annie and Kotty. Kotty
had just arrived after crossing Canada in her truck.
Kotty in Seattle.
A rabbit we saw on a hike. It's standing perfectly still, hoping that
we don't see it. 85 mm lens.
The road down to the beach in Discovery Park. This is one of Annie's
favorite hiking spots in Seattle, especially in the winter when out of
town hikes tend to be covered in snow.
Yosemite
After our visit to Seattle, Kotty came and visited us in Belmont. We all
went an another trip to Yosemite with Eric, Jackie, and Carl.
Carl, Kotty, and I stopped at a rest-stop on the way to Yosemite. The
view was surreal - something out of Myst. I helped a guy with a VW micro-bus
diagnose his wiring problems.
Wahhh! Kotty - with pink hair - and Carl.
On our way up to Glacier Point via the Four Mile Trail. Upper Yosemite
Fall is landing in snow!
Peter, Anne-Lise, and Kotty, out on an overhanging ledge at Glacier
Point.
Christmas 1998
We visited back east for Christmas. Kotty rushed back east as well so she
could get ready for her trip to Mali!
The Christmas tree at Plantagenet.
Kotty in the living room at Plantagenet. Playing with my new 28mm lens
on a tripod. The depth of field is amazing!

New Mac
I bought a new (blue) PowerMac G3/300 at the MacWorld Expo in San Francisco.
Showing off the guts of the tower with my new 28mm lens. This machine
is designed so you can open it up without unplugging anything. Lew's getting
my old PowerMac 7100/80.
